Geography and Climate of Columbia Plateau
Summer temperatures are fairly hot, with maximum temperatures in the 90's and lower temp in around the fifties if you want to go in a pool or to the beach for a dip in the water summer is the perfect time to do so. Here the annual temperatures can be an average of 40 to 50 seven degrees not too hot or too cold. However in the winter it is a completely different story, the normal temperature is fifteen to twenty,I would have icicles hanging off of my nose. it almost always snows making the area perfect for winter sports, our rolling hills also make it great for winter sports (but were warm clothes). During Spring Autumn light rainfall tends to be long. Droughts and fires are not uncommon here, it is hot here during summer is because, there is lava flows here. The wetlands in the arid Columbia Plateau, which stretches to around one hundred and twenty miles, from interior British Columbia to eastern Washington and Oregon, are highly beneficial to people and working lands,the wetlands are internationally recognized for the diversity of the aquatic stream lands.

All of which hold limitless potential for hiking, fun, adventure, exercise, and play. or take a breather and witness an exciting horse race at the Waits burg horse track.
If you are looking for an experience to brag about, then trek on down to the Grand Coulee Dam and sit on down to witness an amazing event, the laser light show or enjoy the tip top of the dam at an altitude of five hundred and fifty feet from the bottom of the dam to the top or walk the length of the dam an astonishing five thousand two hundred and twenty three feet which was made with a mind boggling titanic number of eleven million nine hundred and seventy five thousand five hundred and twenty one , and have a great time at our dazzling laser light show, or come over to Yakima in the summer and go watch the Sunburn Soccer Tournament or go into the mountains and watch the stars. If history is more your thing than you can come down to the Yakima Valley Museum and take a trip to the past, others have had a truly wonderful experience there as it has been rated with four and a half out of five on tripadvisor. The state parks are great and dog friendly tiny, or huge, your little pooch will have just as much fun as you will. Have a great experience with the family and have picnics. You can go and play a fun game of pass with a football or a baseball. If you want to ride around the parks you can grab your bike and peddle around the parks.

The Grand Coulee
The grand coulee dam has a laser light show. It is about thirty minutes long. The laser light show is free of charge. If I had to rate it, it would be a ten out of ten it is amazing. The times are Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend to July thirty first at ten p.m. August first to August Thirty first at nine thirty P.M. September first to September thirtieth at eight thirty p.m. The laser light show is on the dam. It has really cool designs. You can view the show from bleachers, and there is awesome music there. The Grand Coulee Dam forms Lake Roosevelt. extending one hundred and fifty one miles upstream to the Canadian border. It is five hundred and fifty feet tall and five thousand two hundred and twenty feet long. It is four hundred and fifty to five hundred feet thick at the base and at the top it is thirty feet thick. The grand coulee dam was founded in by a Bureau in the government. The government sold the town in nineteen fifty seven but they finished selling it in nineteen fifty nine. The grand coulee dam was also built in nineteen fifty seven and it was finished in nineteen forty two. The grand coulee dam is owned by united states of reclamation. Why did they build the grand coulee dam? They build the grand coulee dam because it was build to produce hydroelectric power and it provides irrigation water. Another great thing about the grand coulee dam is its huge size. The grand coulee dam is five hundred and fifty feet tall and five thousand two hundred and twenty three feet long that all together is eleven million nine hundred seventy five thousand five hundred twenty one square yards of solid concrete that is enough concrete to wrap around the equator twice. The dam is also bigger than the the hoover dam of which is only three million two hundred and fifty thousand cubic yards of concrete. |

The Columbia Plateau is amazing,it has many attractions like the laser light show, state parks, and horse races, Coulee Dam and so many more attractions. There are many breathtaking moments and so much adventure. The laser light show is an amazing experience, laser light show is thirty minutes long of beautiful lights it doesn't cost anything so that means it's totally free. It is during the whole month of August and September first-thirty first. It's on top of The Grand Coulee Dam.There are many state parks they are beautiful with so much potential for adventure walking through the pathways and the wild life. All the amazing trees and plants with the animals. The horse races are so fun to watch and to see who wins. The horses are beautiful all different kinds. Bringing the family and picking your lucky number.
The Coulee Dam is amazing breathtaking place with the beautiful water and the overlook. The main attraction in the Columbia Plateau is the grand Coulee Dam. It's so amazing the State Parks around the Coulee Dam. There is amazing walking trails and so many people go there to see the Grand Coulee Dam. There is many hiking trails around the Coulee Dam they are very beautiful. All the adventure is wonderful for the family you should come here. You could go camping stay in hotel almost anywhere you want. There are many majestic trees and plants the trees are amazing the Maple trees are very astonishing during the Autumn the leaves turn to a great varieties of colors.
Another cool fact about the grand coulee dam is that it was made with eleven million nine hundred seventy five thousand five hundred and twenty one cubic yards of concrete, that is enough concrete to wrap around the equator twice. The dam is five hundred and fifty feet tall and five thousand two hundred and twenty three feet long. Compared to the hoover dam that is seven hundred twenty six feet tall and one thousand two hundred and forty four feet long and is made with three million two hundred and fifty thousand square yards of concrete.
